As a Coding Supervisor, you will help develop, implement, and direct a comprehensive production workflow strategy for our Faculty Practice Group (FPG). This will involve policy maintenance/development and the monitoring of department activities. You will:

*      Manage certified professional coder team

*      Assess unit performance, productivity and effectiveness

*      Participate in incident response management

*      Educate staff on internal/external processes

*      Conduct annual performance evaluations

*      Collaborate with specialty directors, managers, and supervisors

*      Serve as contact for physician and leadership special requests

*      Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines

*      Conduct weekly staff meetings and 1:1 huddles

We’re seeking a self-directed, detail-oriented professional with:

*      CPC, HCC, CPMA or CHC certification preferred

*      Supervisory experience preferred

*      Experience developing curriculum and training materials

*      Detailed knowledge of medical terminology

*      Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems

*      Ability to accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes preferred

*      Knowledge of CMS and local carrier regulations and requirements

*      Revenue cycle familiarity a plus

*      In-depth understanding of medical record content

*      Knowledge of HIPAA requirements

*      Computer proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

*      Excellent leadership, interpersonal and team building abilities

*      Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills

*      Thorough knowledge of Medicare/Medicare HMO coding guidelines

*      Ability to work effectively with third party vendors

*      In-depth knowledge of HCFA 1500 insurance claim preparation

*      Ability to deal with sensitive situations in a tactful and discreet manner
